Engage millennial parents to increase
well-child visit rates
By Gillian Luscri, M.D.
It may come as a surprise that scheduling well-child visits can be problematic for young parents. Many don’t know how often to bring their children in, and the importance of regularly scheduled visits is not always understood.
These encounters are particularly critical during the first three years
of a child’s life to ensure prevention, track growth and development,
and allow intervention when necessary to promote optimal outcomes.
Further, well-child visits create a strong, trustworthy relationship
among pediatrician, parent, and child.
